Lifeguard Course Tomorrow February 6, 2010

The lifeguarding course is cancelled for tomorrow due to the weather.

The dates are now Feb 13th/14th/ and the 20th. Please contact Bridget Amato at amato@southfayette.org if you have any questions.

All Evening Activities Scheduled for Friday, February 5 and ALL Activities Scheduled for Saturday, February 6th have been cancelled.

 

2010-2011 South Fayette Kindergarten Registration Process

We will start preregistering the 2010-2011 kindergarten students on January 18, 2010. Please call Becky Pasteryk at 412-221-4542 at extension 331 if you have a child that will be attending South Fayette kindergarten next year.

Financial Aid Night for Middle and High School Parents

Upon arrival, participants will be given a rotation card for the breakout sessions and are then to proceed to the high school Theatre to watch a high school to post secondary transition video produced by Mrs. Julia Martin and including conversations with several South Fayette 2007 Graduates and their individual post high school transitions. American Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR Certification Class

American Red Cross Certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aidwill be offered in a 3-day course at South Fayette School Pool. Click here for more information.

South Fayette Annual Mardi Gras Dance

H1N1 Announcement January 6, 2010

H1N1 vaccine is now available to the general public through local health departments, certified providers and possibly your own doctor. Even though influenza activity in the state is declining, the PA Department of Health is still encouraging people to get immunized in anticipation of a possible third wave of the H1N1 flu in Pennsylvania. Dual Enrollment 2010-2011
High School Students Can Earn College Credits while in High School

The Pennsylvania Department of Education is offering an opportunity for any 2010-2011 incoming 11th or 12th grade students within the South Fayette School District to participate in the Dual Enrollment Program for the 2010-2011 School Year.

This opportunity is open to all incoming juniors and seniors who reside within the South Fayette School District including those students attending South Fayette High School, private, non-public, Cyber, charter schools as well as any home schooled students within the district. 

The Dual Enrollment program provides funding to students who enroll in the college/university credits while in high school. The South Fayette School District will be entering agreements with local two and four year colleges and universities.

2010-2011 Preschool Registration

Registration for preschool for the 2010-2011 school year will be held on Monday, January 18th in the high school building in Room FA226, from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. The classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. A child must live in South Fayette and must be four by September 1, 2010. There are four classes. One class meets Wednesday, Friday and some Mondays while the other class meets Tuesday – Thursday and some Mondays. The morning class is from 8:15 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. and the afternoon class is from 11:25 a.m. to 1:50 p.m.. There is a $100 NON-REFUNDABLE registration fee required at this time.

If it's not at the school office you remember, please check your other child's school office before reporting it missing. Thank you.

2007-2008 marks the beginning of the South Fayette Alumni Association (SFAA).  The graduating class of 2008 will mark the 80th anniversary of graduation ceremonies for the district.  From Lafayette School’s first graduation class of 13 (on record) to the 156 graduates of the 2007 class of South Fayette High School our alumni roster exceed 6,700+.
